Hi, I’m Jemma.
Numbers have been my jam for decades.
But I’ve always had one foot in creativity too.
Innovation, design, beauty, structure… I’ve always loved the meeting point between the practical and the intuitive.
Where it all began
I studied fashion design at university and quickly realised the parts I loved most weren’t the garments, but the pattern making, the measurements, the structure, the numbers.
From there, I spent 15 years working for luxury fashion brands across New Zealand, Australia, London, and Denmark. I fell into buying and merchandising, which meant my days were spent travelling the world piecing together beautiful collections and then:
planning and analysing sales
managing stock and cash flow
presenting numbers directly to CEOs
If the numbers didn’t paint a clear picture, I wasn’t doing my job and that pressure shaped the way I learned to work. The spreadsheets and systems I built during those years are the same foundations I still use today.
Fast forward to 2016. My second child arrived and I knew I couldn’t go back to that pace.
So I did what so many of us mums do, I took what I had, and I built what I needed.
Zarpar Bebé began in my living room, baby strapped to my back.
Late nights sewing baby carriers.
Endless stock planning.
Cash flow spreadsheets.
Stress about the next stock order.
It was a steep learning curve, but my numbers experience kept the wheels turning. The business grew, and so did the beautiful community around it.
By the time my third daughter arrived in 2018, everything was expanding - except my clarity. The overwhelm crept in. I was forcing growth because I thought that was what I was supposed to do. The resentment that followed was the sign I needed to pause.
The leap into business ownership
Where numerology found me
A friend handed me a numerology book. I read my basic reading and immediately everything clicked.
I mapped out my life, connected the cycles, and saw clear patterns.
The more I aligned my choices with the themes of my cycle, the more life began to settle into place.
Numerology didn’t remove challenges - but it gave meaning to them.
It gave me a framework to respond instead of react.
I charted friends, family, strangers, anyone who would let me.
The numbers never lied.
Themes were always clear.
I began to understand why certain relationships were easy, others were complex, and - most profoundly - how to support each of my children based on their own energetic blueprint.
At the end of my year 9 cycle, pieces of my life naturally fell away… homeschool groups we’d been part of shifted, my product business was feeling strained, the world had changed, and my husband suddenly had to take on his business without his partner.
Years earlier, my kinesiologist had told me:
“You and your husband are here to build together.”
I didn’t understand it then - but during my year 9, it finally made sense.
I chose not to cling.
I released what was complete.
And I trusted that better things were ahead.
Stepping into my year 1 cycle, everything reset.
I began working alongside my husband in our now family business.
Our kids started in different schools.
Life reorganised itself exactly how it needed to.
All the tools from my product-based years translated seamlessly into subscription-based business. People say these business models are totally different - and yes, structurally they are - but when you’re analysing the metrics that matter, numbers are numbers.

We’re often told,
“Find your passion or you’ll stay stuck.”
But this isn’t true, not when you understand your numbers.
I’m a Life Path 7. My purpose is to learn, experience, analyse, and then share those insights with others. Everything I build inside Grounded Growth comes from:

Why Grounded Growth exists
I’ve adapted, evolved, and expanded many times over. Life finally feels aligned, steady, and intentional.
